Singapore Neurodiverse Inclusive Community is a place of resources to empower parents and individuals alike. From diagnosis to early intervention, education, employment, caregiver services, lifestyle activities, for educators and learners, support from professionals, schools, life-long support from and for the community,
It started in June 2017, since 2015 creating the facebook page "A Neurodiversity Road of love", a blog advocating for embracing Neurodiversity. I thus decided that it is more meaningful if I can put down all that I had learnt in my diploma and with my child, to pass on the knowledge that can benefit another parent just like me. I would thus express my deepest thanks and appreciation to all my friends I had made during this journey, and the motivation to continue to archive these knowledge is because of you. I am also greatly humbled whenever I get to know an adult on the spectrum, their journey, their passion, and what makes them amazing. Whenever i learn about someone else's journey, it brings me joy to start piecing a page together. It is a little like creating an art piece poetically hahaha. So thank you so so much. . Because of you, this becomes possible. 1 Sep 2018 Neurodiversity is a concept where neurological differences are to be recognized and respected as any other human variation. These differences can include those labeled with Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Dyscalculia, Autistic Spectrum, Tourette Syndrome, and pretty much the whole entire human race. Neurodiverse is a concept used to break the social stigma that affects perceptions of disability and focuses on the diversity and strengths of all individuals. We want to focus on bringing true understanding to acceptance, appreciation, advocation and active inclusive support into our society. That is why collaboration to create this wonderful resource is very important. There are many support and services that are not easily found in our community. Do contact me, to share your experience, if you know of any inclusive services that could be helpful to another family. Eg. hairdresser or art teacher that you personally feel is very inclusive and would want to share your experience with someone else. This site does not have any affiliate with any businesses nor generating any profits. It is solely made to serving the community. I hope that one day someone has an alignment on these purposes so that we can create a bigger impact on the landscape in Singapore. This site is currently a continuous expansion of its databse. |
If you feel that there is some violation of selling anything that is illegal, or can cause harm to another person, please report so that we can do something about it. Here is a safe space for all neurodiverse individuals, especially supporting parents to make informed decisions that are safe for use. Any person or service who is found to have cause harm, or online bullying, or even trying to make profit off someone else's items, will not be tolerated. Thank you for keeping this space safe for our community. |
